Mingzhe Guo’s research focuses on solar atmospheric dynamics, particularly solar coronal seismology and wave-based coronal heating mechanisms. Through a series of studies, he has employed both analytical and numerical modeling to investigate MHD waves in coronal magnetic structures. He has authored 34 papers in leading journals, including SSRv, ApJ/ApJL, A&A, and MNRAS, among others. According to Web of Science (as of February 2025), his publications have received more than 720 citations with an h-index of 15. His honors and awards include: The QILU Young Scholars Program of Shandong University, the Taishan Young Scholars Program, the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scientists Program (Overseas), the Outstanding Student Poster Award at the China-Europe Solar Physics Meeting (CESPM, May 2019), the Outstanding Student Paper Award from the Chinese Geoscience Union (CGU, Oct. 2019), etc.
