Lin Qi obtained a PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. His doctoral thesis received the UNSW Dean's Award for Outstanding PhD Theses. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UNSW and Uppsala University, Sweden. During his time in Sweden, he participated in the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) projects LifeSec: Don't Hack my Body! (focused on security) and Hardware for Energy Efficient Bodynets (focused on energy efficiency).
His research interests include the Internet of Things (IoT), IoT security, novel sensor applications, applications of artificial intelligence in IoT, and health monitoring. He has published over ten papers in CCF-A and CCF-B conferences and journals. Additionally, he has served as a program committee member for EISA 2020 and WWW 2023, and as a reviewer for top conferences and journals such as TOSN, TMC, IPSN, SenSys, EWSN, DCOSS, ICCCN, and COMSNETS.
