De-sheng Liu is now a professor at the School of Physics, Shandong University, China. He received his Bachelor degree in Physics in 1985, and a PhD degree in condensed matter Physics from Shandong University in 2001. He was an unconventional admission of professor in 2002. His main studies include molecular electronics and molecular spin electronics. The molecular structure and electro-optic properties of one-dimensional organic semiconductors are systematically studied, especially the kinetic properties of carrier transport in the system. He is as countries enjoy a special allowance. He has successively undertaken four projects of the National Natural Science Foundations, one of the 973 sub-projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, one of the independent project of the State key Laboratory (sub-project), two of the doctoral Program Foundation of the Ministry of Education, and four of the Natural Science Foundations of Shandong Province. He published more than 100 related research papers in SCI and other international academic journals.
