Personal Information
Ming Shao is a Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Life Sciences at Shandong University, a PhD supervisor, a recipient of China’s National High-level Youth Talent Program, and a Taishan Scholar Young Expert. He earned both his bachelor’s and doctoral degrees from Shandong University (2001–2010) and carried out postdoctoral research at the Institut Biologie Paris-Seine, Sorbonne University, France (2010–2011). Since 2010 he has remained at Shandong University, progressing from Lecturer to Associate Professor and now Professor. Professor Shao’s research centers on the mechanisms of early embryonic development. His group has made a series of original scientific discoveries and technical advances, including: • Identifying a stem-cell-specific dsRNA sensor These findings have been published in leading journals such as Molecular Cell, The EMBO Journal, PNAS, Science Advances, Nature Communications, PLoS Genetics, Development and etc. More information about Ming Shao in ResearchGate Researchers with backgrounds in developmental biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, or bioinformatics are warmly invited to join the lab and help decode the mysteries of embryonic development.
