基因组重组——纤毛虫原生动物的转座子抑制机制
转座子普遍存在于真核生物基因组中,威胁基因组的完整性与稳定性。研究发现,数百种遗传疾病与转座子相关,转座子抑制也因此成为生物学领域的研究热点。高等生物在转录与转录后水平抑制转座子,纤毛虫原生动物则通过基因组重组将转座子从转录活跃的体细胞核中删除,在基因组水平抑制转座子。这一独特的转座子抑制方式为研究转座子抑制机制的起源与演化提供了重要的研究材料。本人致力于探究纤毛虫的转座子删除过程,解决该过程的未解之谜。
