Course Introduction:Geographic Information System is a specialized course for college students that involves wide knowledge and has the practical and applied nature. It is characterized by integrated multidisciplinary, great abstraction, wide application and multiple scale of  study objectives.
The basic contents of this course include: collection, processing and organization of spatial data; the principle and method of spatial analysis and the application of GIS in planetary science.
