主要研究兴趣包括：(1) 未知混杂的控制方法、因果推断框架下的数据融合，中介效应分析，测量误差和选择性偏倚的控制方法以及时间序列框架下因果推断方法；(2) 统计遗传方法学研究，包括全基因组、全蛋白组的因果关联分析，跨组学数据的整合分析，药物靶向孟德尔随机化，遗传关联分析等;（3）深度因果学习，包括VAE、深度机器学习方法等。
发表SCI文章50余篇（JCR一区论文 20 篇），第一和通讯作者发表在American Journal of Human Genetics, Briefings in Bioinformatics, Plos Genetics, SMMR, Statistics in Medicine，American Journal of Epidemiology 等国际知名的生物统计理论方法杂志以及BMC medicine, JAHA, British Journal of Cancer, Atherosclerosis，Obesity, Journal of American Heart Association 等临床应用杂志上, 同时也是Nature Human Behavior, Plos Medicine, International Journal of Epidemiology等多个杂志审稿人。参编教育部规划教材三部。
