Abstract:This paper presents a novel EEV-based ejector for use in domestic refrigerator-freezers. An EEV-based ejector comprised of an EEV and the main body of an ejector was used to address the requirements of variable cooling loads. The ejector’s tiny size made it possible to achieve the miniaturization and application in domestic refrigerator-freezer refrigeration systems. The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technique was adopted to investigate the optimum geometric parameters as well as the adaptive capacity with variable cooling loads of the EEV-based ejector model.
