Summary: This paper proposes an ejector refrigeration system driven by automobile exhaust waste heat. As the waste heat varies with operating conditions, maintaining the performance of this system is a challenging task. This work focuses on the design of a model predictive controller for this system. Based on the characteristics of the ejector, the key controller objective is to fast track critical operation point to the set point value. To perform this task, a rigorous and systematic framework is employed. First, the ejector is simulated by CFD technology to find its critical operation point.
