Biography

My name is Wenxian Wu, researcher in Department of Immunology, School of Basic Medical Science, Shandong University. 

I obtained Ph.D degree from Medical Faculty, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany in September 2019; my surpervisor is Prof. Björn Stork and my mentor is Prof. Peter Proksch.  After graduated, I became a postdoc researcher in the same laboratory; my surpervisor is Prof. Björn Stork. 

My research focuses on mitophagy, mitochondiral dynamics and the crosstalk between autophagy and necroptosis and the regulation on related diseases. The research methods I mainly employ are molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry and animal models to study these research fields. So far, I also made some achievement and published some TOP research articles, e.g. EMBO Journal (Cover story), Autophagy (3×), Cell Reports, EMBO Reports, Cell Death and Disease, JBC etc. Total articles are cited more than 800 times by other papers and I also participated in many research projects, e.g. German Research Foundation in Germany and 973 project in China etc.
