1. 感染与恶性转化：以人群中感染率高的幽门螺杆菌为研究模型，探讨幽门螺杆菌感染引发慢性炎症的机理及其在胃癌发生发展中的作用。

2. 肿瘤分子生物学：以中国高发性肿瘤胃癌为研究对象，从表观遗传学调控的角度研究胃癌发生发展的机制，筛选胃癌的分子诊断标志物和药物靶标。

3. 肿瘤药理学：从天然产物中筛选有效的抗肿瘤成分，通过组学技术研究药物的抗肿瘤机理，为新药研发奠定实验基础。
