He is primarily engaged in research on coastal geo-environmental evolution and carbon sequestration processes. As first or corresponding author, he has published more than 20 papers in leading journals, including Eng. Geol., J.Hydrol., and J. Hazard Mater. He has led three research projects and participated in one National Key Research and Development Program of China. His research achievements have been successfully applied in three demonstration projects for coastal ecological protection and restoration in Shandong Province.
