Ying Zhou is a selected member of the Young Scholar Future Program by Shandong University and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Shandong University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2025, where he conducted research on large language models and information retrieval at the Chinese Information Processing Laboratory. He received his B.Eng. degree from the School of Software, Shandong University in 2020. He has participated in several research projects funded by the Strategic Priority Research Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Key R&D Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and major research programs of the State Language Commission.
His recent research interests include interpretability of large language models, generative retrieval, and controllable data synthesis. He has published more than ten papers at leading international conferences, including ACL, SIGIR, ICML, IJCAI, and EMNLP. He has also served as a reviewer for major international conferences such as ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, COLING, and COLM, as well as international journals including ACM TOIS, ACM TIST, and IPM.
He is actively recruiting master’s students, research assistants, and visiting students. Students with strong programming skills, good English reading and writing abilities, and research interests in information retrieval, natural language processing, generative retrieval, large language models, and interpretability analysis are welcome to contact him.
