The research team is led by Professor Fan Yi, a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund and Vice President of Shandong University, and specializes in "Mechanisms and Intervention Strategies of Renal Injury". The research team has been engaged in the research on the pathophysiological mechanism and drug action targets of diabetes nephropathy and other kidney diseases for a long time, and a series of research achievements have symbolic significance for clarifying the pathogenesis of kidney diseases and guiding clinical treatment. In the past five years, we have received 13 grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (including 3 major national projects and 1 innovation group project), and our research results have been published in internationally renowned authoritative journals such as Nature, Cell Metabolism, Circulation Research, Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, Nature Communications, Kidney International, Hypertension, etc. Multiple papers have been selected as key recommendations or cover articles for the current issue and accompanied by special reviews. At the same time, we have received positive reviews from journals such as Science, Nature Reviews Nephrology, and Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, which have had an important impact internationally.
