Dr. Bing Han finished his Ph.D project in Dr. Louis Weiss laboratory of pathology department in Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, USA, as a joint student founded by Chinese Scholarship Council and obtained his Ph.D in Southwest University, Chongqing, China, in 2017. He remained in Dr. Louis Weiss laboratory as a postdoctoral research fellow, working on the microsporidia and host cell interaction during cell invasion. Dr. Han is currently Full Professor at the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University, Jinan, China. His research interests include the molecular mechanism of microsporidia polar tube infecting host cells, the interaction of host mitochondria with microsporidia sporoplasm during cell development and the interaction of Toxoplasma gondii with host during infection. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in the Journal Clinical Microbiology Reviews、pLoS Pathogens、mBio、Frontiers in Microbiology、Expert opinion on therapeutic targets.
