Hao Wu

Dr. Hao Wu is a professor at Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene, School of Public Heatlh, Cheeloo Medical College, Shandong University, China. He is the P.I. of the Molecular Nutrition Research Team of Shandong University. He acquired M.D. and Ph.D. at Jilin University, and received post-doctoral training at University of Louisville and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, USA. Research interest includes the molecular mechanism and intervention of nutritional diseases especially diabetes and vascular complications. He published 22 articles (total impact factor 135) as the first or corresponding author, several of which were published in top journals such as Diabetologia, Free Radical Biology & Medicine, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, and Nutrients. He serves as a handling editor for Frontiers in Endocrinology, as a lead guest editor for Journal of Diabetes Research, and as a guest editor for Nutrients. He also reviewed for 20 peer-reviewed journals including Food & Function, Food and Chemical Toxicology, etc. He is a standing committee member in the Basic Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society. His research is funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shandong University, Jilin University and Jinan Central Hospital. He teaches <Nutrition and Food Hygiene> and <Preventive Medicine> for undergraduate students; <Nutrition> for international students; <Nutrition and Chronic Diseases>, <Nutritional Physiological Biochemistry> and <Clinical Nutrition> for graduate students; and <Diabetic Vascular Biology> and <Molecular Nutrition> for Ph.D. candidates.
