Shandong Key Laboratory of Carbohydrate and Carbohydrate-conjugate Drugs

The laboratory is dedicated to research on the industrial technology of sugar and glycoconjugate drugs. Supported by Shandong Freda Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., Shandong University, and Shandong Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, it has proposed a technical approach integrating synthetic biology, glycobiology, and industrialization. The focus is on overcoming the bottlenecks in engineering, automation, and scaling through synthetic biology, elucidating the regulatory mechanisms of glycans in diseases through glycobiology, and addressing the efficacy and mechanism of action for key targets through glycotechnology.
