Biography
Liangliang Hao is a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Control Science and Engineering, Shandong University. Before joining Shandong University, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Cornell University from 2022 to 2023, under the supervision of Professor Lang Tong. Dr. Hao was selected for the National High-level Talents Program and holds the title of Outstanding Young Scholar (First Level) at Shandong University.
He completed his Ph.D. degree at the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Yunjian Xu. He obtained bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Wuhan University in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Hao served as a research assistant at the Center for Grid Power Electronics of Wuhan University and the Engineering Systems Design Pillar at Singapore University of Technology and Design, respectively.
His research focuses on stochastic optimal control, deep reinforcement learning, and their applications in EV charging scheduling, power system control and optimization. Dr. Hao has led a research project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Also, he actively participated in multiple research projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Hong Kong Research Grants Council, and the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission.
