Biography

Fanlei KONG, Ph.D., associate professor, supervisor of Master's candidates, graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan University (Japan) and received his doctoral degree in Urban Policy Science, then started to work in School of Public Health, Shandong University in 2014. His major research issues include healthy aging, social policies for the elderly, quality of life of the elderly, long-term care needs for the elderly, and social welfare and social security of the elderly .ect. During Feb.- Jul. 2015, he worked as the representative of the partner universities in Fudan Univerisity, China; during Sep. 2016- Jan. 2018, he worked as the officer on secondment in the Ministry of Science and Technology of China; during Sep. 2020- Sep. 2021, he worked as the vice-dean of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Shandong University. In December 2021, he was selected to join the Future Plan for Young Scholars of Shandong University.

Currently, he has published more than 50 papers in SCI/SSCI/CSSCI/ Other related journals as the first author or co-author. He has been the PI or participated in more than 20 scientific research projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province, Post-doctoral Innovation Fund of Shandong Province, Tokyo Advanced Cooperative Research Program .etc. He has published or participated in the publishing for more than 10 books, including 2 books in English. He was the anonymous reviewer of SCI/SSCI journals, such as BMC Geriatrics, Journal of Affective Disorder, Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics, BMC Public Health, Geriatrics and Gerontology International .etc.
