Biography

Dr. Yong Li is a full professor in Geotechnical Engineering at Department of Urban Underground Space and Engineering at School of Qilu Transportation, Shandong University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering Mechanics from Shandong University in 2009 and then worked as a faculty member at Shandong University. He used to be a visiting scholar in the University of Kansas from Oct. 2007 to Oct. 2018 and in the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities from Aug. 2017 to Aug. 2018. His research has focused on physical and numerical modelling in geotechnical engineering, surrounding rock mass stability and excavation optimization analysis, mechanical behaviors of jointed rock mass, crack propagation mechanism of brittle materials and hydraulic fracturing in fractured rock mass. He has published more 80 technical papers in journals and conference proceedings.
