Computational electromagnetics
Based on FDTD, the propagation law of low-frequency electromagnetic fields in lossy media was studied, and explicit and implicit time-domain finite difference methods and programs were developed. The TEM3DFDTD open-source program developed by the research group was widely used and referenced. For the first time, the BEDS-FDTD method based on backward Euler and direct decomposition was developed for transient electromagnetic three-dimensional forward modeling, reducing the computation time of complex models to seconds.
We also work on other modern numerical methods including finite element, finite volume, meshfree, etc.
