  • Summary:
This study employed a systematic review and meta-analysis approach, incorporating 14 randomized controlled trials involving a total of 1,064 female breast cancer patients who were overweight or obese, to investigate the effect of physical activity on inflammatory biomarkers. The results demonstrated that physical activity significantly reduced pro-inflammatory biomarkers (CRP, IL-6, and leptin) and increased the anti-inflammatory biomarker adiponectin; however, it did not have a significant effect on TNF-α or IL-10. The combined exercise intervention yielded the most favorable outcomes. Physical activity can serve as an effective adjunctive measure for modulating inflammation in this population; in future studies, it could be integrated with dietary and weight-loss interventions to implement comprehensive management strategies.
