    Under the context of educational informatization, a vast amount of teaching resources remain underutilized; the traditional teaching approach reliant on experience is no longer well-suited to the educational landscape of the modern era. Currently, the organization and management of physical education instruction and amateur sports training in Chinese higher education institutions remain relatively disorganized; school sports data processing is still at a rudimentary stage—limited to basic tasks such as data backup, querying, and simple statistical analysis—and thus fails to provide effective support for instructional management decision-making. To address this, this paper introduces data mining techniques to design a real-time sports training data analysis system that extracts inherent patterns from sports data. This approach aims to optimize targeted teaching practices, help students overcome learning difficulties, facilitate course synchronization and course selection guidance, and ultimately enhance the quality and instructional effectiveness of physical education courses at higher education institutions.
