Biography

Xiaoyu Liu, Shandong Province Outstanding Young Scientists Fund (Overseas), received Ph.D. degree and conducted postdoctoral research at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, and was a Visiting Scholar at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. His research interests include distributed model predictive control, hybrid systems, learning-based control, and their applications to transportation–energy integration. He has published more than 20 papers in leading journals and conferences, including Automatica, IEEE T-ITS, TRC, and TRE. He received the 2025 IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award, which is presented to only three recipients worldwide each year, and was featured in a three-page personal profile in IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine (JCR Q1).
