Biography

Professor Liping Xu received his Bachelor degree from Shandong University in 2011. He earned a Ph.D. degree of physical chemistry from Peking University in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Yun-Dong Wu. He then joined Shandong University of Technology. During 2019 to 2021, he joined the reseach group of Prof. Djamaladdin G. Musaev at Emory University as a postdoctoral fellow. In 2023, he moved to Shandong University and appointed as full Professor. In recent years, his reserach interests include: (I) Computational study of the mechanisms of transition metal and chiral phosphoric acid-catalyzed reactions and compuational catalysts design, and (II) computational study of supramolecular metal organic cage-catalyzed reactions. He has publsihed over 30 first/corresponding-author papers including those in world-class journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc. (3), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (5), Nat. Commun. (1), ACS Catal. (5), Chem. Sci (1) etc.
