Biography

**Liu Yang**, a native of Baoji, Shaanxi, China, is currently a Prof. at the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering-Qingdao Institute for Frontier Chemistry, Shandong University. He obtained his master's degree from China University of Petroleum (East China) in June 2017, under the supervision of Prof. Mingbo Wu (a leading talent in the Ten Thousand Talents Program, http://carbon.upc.edu.cn/). In August 2021, he graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea, under the guidance of Prof. Hyoyoung Lee (https://swb.skku.edu/hyoyounglee/index.do), and subsequently continued his postdoctoral research at the same institution. He has been dedicated to the research and application exploration of new energy catalytic conversion materials, chemistry, and devices.

Liu Yang has published a total of 31 SCI papers, including articles in top international journals such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (2), ACS Nano (3), Adv. Funct. Mater., among others. His achievements have received widespread attention and high praise from peers both  domestically and internationally. He has been granted 2 South Korean invention patents, a full scholarship for international students at Sungkyunkwan University (2018.03-2021.08), the 2021 National Excellent Self-Funded International Student Scholarship, the "Young Scientist Award" at the 32nd International Conference on Molecular Electronics and Devices, the Outstanding Graduate of China University of Petroleum (East China) Award, the Tarim Oilfield Scholarship, and the National Scholarship for Graduate Students. Furthermore, he independently led a Creative Challenge Research Foundation funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (with an annual funding of 70 million Korean won) and actively participated in two major national-level research projects in South Korea. In February 2024, he joined the research team of Academician Li Yuliang at Shandong University.  https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5657-6549
