Prof. Di Sun received his B.S. (2005) from Liaocheng University, and M.S. (2008) and his Ph.D. (2011) from Xiamen University under the guidance of Prof. Rong-Bin Huang and Lan-Sun Zheng, respectively. In 2011, he was appointed as a Lecturer at the Shandong University, and in 2014 and 2017 he was promoted to Associate Professor and Professor, respectively. His research interests include the coordination chemistry, cluster chemistry and nanomaterials.In 2017, Prof. Sun published the discovery of a high-symmetric fullerene-like Ag180 cage with Goldberg polyhedral topology. In 2016 and 2017, he promoted the ESI-MS technique to be used in the elucidation of assembly mechanism of complex system such as high-nuclearity Mn cluster, moreover, the ESI-MS directed metal-doping in Mn clusters was also reported in related assembly system. Prof. Sun has published over 190 research publications, which have been cited over 5,000 times. H index = 40.
