Biography

Dr. Zhonghua ZHANG has a full professor position in School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shandong University (Jinan, China). He is a head of Institute of Liquid Metal and Casting Technology, Shandong University. He was selected as a Young Tip-Top Talent of Wanren Jihua (2013), New Century Excellent Talent of Ministry of Education (2011), Taishan Scholar of Shandong Province (2019), and Distinguished Young Scientist of Shandong University (2018). He obtained his Ph.D degree from Shandong University in 2003. He was a research fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Germany) at Ruhr University Bochum working with Prof. Gunther Eggeler from Feb. 2014 to Oct. 2015. Then he got a permanent position in Shandong University at the end of 2005. His research interests mainly focus upon design and synthesis of metallic nanomaterials, as well as their properties and applications in energy conversion/storage and electro-catalysis. Prof. Zhang has published more than 170 papers on peer-reviewed journals, and has been awarded more than 10 Chinese patents.
